Fender Custom Shop 1960 Jazz Bass Relic Aged Ocean Turquoise
A stunning tribute to the original Jazz Bass, in a classic custom color!
The Jazz Bass debuted in 1960 as Fender's deluxe bass guitar model and quickly became an indispensable instrument for bassists who prized its slim, fast neck; sleek offset-waist design; and full, dual-pickup sound.
Bass players know that the Fender Custom Shop makes some of the world's greatest basses, and this 1960 reissue Jazz Bass in Aged Ocean Turquoise shows why. This is an amazing looking, sounding and feeling bass.
Two hand wound vintage Jazz single-coil pickups and the stacked concentric controls provide a variety of tones from classic Jazz Bass smoothness, to funky slap, to more aggressive modern sounds. The quartersawn U-shaped maple neck is topped off with a rosewood board, and a 7.25" radius. The back of the neck has been given the Heavy Relic treatment to provide a smooth, worn-in feel. Together with the Relic treatment body, this bass has a pure vintage vibe. Aged Ocean Turquoise is a color that is rarely seen - completed with a tortoise shell pickguard, this is a look that will stand out.
