The BE Elite EP 5 is a premium bass, featuring an eye-catching AAA Eye Poplar top on a Swamp Ash body. The neck is amazing - it's a 5-piece Mahogany/Maple build, with a Pau Ferro fretboard. The 20" radius is a breeze to play. it's surprisingly easy to play by 5-string standards.
As for the sound, one would be hard-pressed to find a better 5-string bass than this - it's powerful, with a very tight bottom end, even with the low B, and can also sign for leads played in the upper register. No matter what style, this bass can handle it. The Aguilar pickups provide a nice, even tone, with plenty of output, while retaining the ability to dial it back for more vintage sounds. The full EQ and active/passive switch make this a very versatile bass.
