Pre Owned 1965 Fender Bassman Head and Matching 2x12 Cab

A benchmark of vintage tone, the Fender Bassman wasn't only used by countless players, it was also imitated by many other amp companies and inspired countless new amps.  The mid 60's version has been in high demand for decades.  We were excited to see this vintage Bassman head and 2x12 cabinet come through the door.  Built in 1965 right here in Southern California, it has stood the test of time, and is in great shape.

Pure, sparkling cleans, natural harmonic saturation when cranked, and classic vintage Fender tube tone - that's what this amp is all about.  2 channels, 50 watts of power, pumping through the 2x12 cabinet, creating tone to die for....for those that know, this is "the" sound.  

On the head, here is what has been replaced:  the power transformer, bypass caps, bias cap, hum resistors, a few of the 100k ohm supply resistors and filter caps.  Also, a 3-prong grounded AC cord was added at some point.  As for the cabinet, it's all original, including the speakers.  

This is a legendary amp, and highly desirable in this format, from this year.  The condition of this amazing rig is great - obviously it has the normal wear & tear on anything like this (especially that actually go used) from the 1960's.  There are no major issues or anything.  The amp has been vetted and tested to perfect working order.  It's a rare find, and we look forward to putting it into it's next home!
