Used and Vintage Electric Guitars

Here are Truetone Music, we love unique guitars from all makers, and when it's a rare Fender that walks in the door, we get even a little more excited.  That's the case with this one - here is the ultra rare Fender ES-RF Robben Ford Esprit from 1993.  Rarely seen and hard to find, this artist model was short-lived and has been heavily in demand ever since.

This instrument is unlike anything else Fender has ever created and it is truly a standout instrument for a legendary player, Robben Ford.   It's a trip back to the early 90's on a guitar from the 80's.  The short of it is that in 80's, Fender made the Esprit Ultra in Japan, and then came out with the Robben Ford Esprit in 1992 as part of the Master Series.  It was only made through 1993, so there aren't many around.   Made in legendary FujiGen factory in Japan, it's a highly desirable find and a unique piece of Fender's storied history.

The Esprit features a chambered alder body with a carved spruce top in a beautiful natural Amber finish with a 3-piece maple set neck.  This gives you excellent sustain with a very woody tone. With its ebony fingerboard and gorgeous split-block inlays you get snappy tone matched with style.   The guitar has a 24.75" scale and 22 frets, making it rather unique for a Fender.  The appointments don't end there, you also get gold hardware and tuners with Ebony buttons. The pickups are specific to this guitar and are a great pair of humbuckers, which are very balanced and suprisingly versatile.  This guitar is perfect for any playing style.  It's a unique feel and sound for a Fender, and isn't like anything else made.

This Robben Ford Esprit is in great condition, with some wear but nothing major (check out all of the photos).  It's been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop.  The guitar comes with a non-original case- which, oddly, is an Epiphone case (that's how it came to us, and while not perfect, does work for the shape of the guitar).

We don't see these very often, and when we do, they don't last long!
