Pre Owned 2004 Fender Limited Edition Closet Classic Telecaster Firemist Silver Metallic With OHSC

Back in 2004, the Fender Custom Shop started a limited run of classic late 60's Telecasters, which proved to be a hit.  Only 200 were made.  This was one of the first, and it's a winner. 

The guitar has a striking Firemist Silver Metallic finish with the Closet Classic treatment.  That means it's aged but not trashed or relic'ed.  The nitrocellulose lacquer finish has really nice checking, creating the vibe of a guitar built decades that sat unplayed for years.

The ash body is lightweight and resonant - if you need a guitar that won't weigh you down, this is a good choice, as it's only 7.2 lbs.  The maple neck sports a 60's Style Oval "C" profile, the most popular for Custom Shop guitars.  It's slim and easy to play, without being too skinny - it's got the perfect grip.  The neck is capped with a rosewood fretboard that has the modern preference of a 9.5" radius and medium jumbo frets - so you can bend to your hearts content without fretting out.

It's loaded classic '63 Tele pickups give it the vintage sound that is beloved by Tele players everywhere.  The bridge pickup provides punchy mids and hot highs for that classic Tele sound, with staggered pole pieces to even out the inter-string response.  The neck neck pickup provides a warm and creamy tone.  Whether you need country twang, hard hitting rock bottoms or glistening clean highs, this one gives it to you.

Other features include period correct hardware, Mother of Pearl dot inlays on the fretboard, a bone nut and a Limited Edition decal.  The guitar has the original case, which is a special version.  Also included is the certificate of authenticity.

Overall, this Custom Shop Tele is in great shape, with some dings on the body and neck, amounting to normal player wear.  The techs in our shop have set up the guitar to play perfectly, and it's ready to go.  This is a super cool guitar and likely to go fast at this price.
