Low end 5-string lovers rejoice! A rare find has made it here - we have this incredible Fender Marcus Miller Jazz Bass V in Black. It was built in 2005 during Marcus Miller's peak as a Fender Artist. His signature blend of soulful groove and technical mastery is perfectly captured in this bass. Made in America, this is one of the best-selling Jazz Bass V's that Fender ever produced.
You won't see many of these out there - in fact, we don't think there's another 5-string in Black out there for sale at all right now. It's been over 10 years since the model was discontinued and it's been high in demand ever since.
This 5-string bass was crafted with an ash body with all the contours you want from a Jazz bass. It has a satin finish with gloss headstock, and Miller’s signature. This bass features a comfortable one-piece "C"-shaped maple neck with a 7.25"-radius maple fingerboard adorned by white pearl block inlays and binding for tone, style, and feel. There is a sleek black pickguard and control plate. The Posiflex graphite rods ensure exceptional neck stability.
Other features include a chrome neck pickup cover, knurled chrome dome knobs on the volume controls and black Jazz Bass knobs on the tone controls, contoured heel and asymmetrical five-bolt neck plate. Stay in tune with ease with a set of Hipshot tuners with vintage-style buttons.
Marcus is an incredibly versatile player and this bass reflects thanks to its custom vintage-style Jazz Bass single-coil pickups and an 18-volt active preamp with a two-band EQ and active/passive mini toggle switch. In addition you have even more control over your sound with individual pickup volumes and tone controls that can boost or cut high/low frequencies. This bass delivers clarity and punch for any playing style in any playing setting.
So if you want a signature 5-string bass from one of the best, this bass has it all. It's in great condition and comes with its original hardshell case. The techs in our shop have set it up to play perfectly.
