Pre Owned Fender Custom Shop Crown Royal Stratocaster - Pamelina H Collection

At Truetone Music, we are proud to partner with some of the greatest manufacturers, builds and musicians out there.  We've had a lot of special collections here - and now we have one of our most special to introduce: the Pamelina H. Collection.
 
Pamelina H. is one of the most renowned guitar painters in the world.  Her legendary work has adorned many Fender Custom Shop instruments, as well as ones built by Gibson, Ibanez, Jackson, Gretsch and many others.  Her work is truly one of a kind, and we are proud to be working with Pamelina on this special project.  She has held a number of guitars painted by herself in her vault for years.  Now, for the first time, she is making them available.  We are presenting them as the Pamelina H. Collection, exclusively here at Truetone Music.
 

In 1996, Pamelina was commissioned by Fender's Custom Shop to paint 6 of these incredible custom guitars for Crown Royal.  This is # 3 (as designated on the back of the headstock by being serial # CR03).  They were never sold at retail; they were used by Crown Royal for promotional purposes.  Very little information is out there, but rest assured that this is the real deal, and it has been properly vetted.  This is truly unlike anything you've ever seen (unless you've seen one of these!).  We had a lot of very unique guitars here, but this very well may take the top spot.  The shape of the guitar is one thing, but the artistry by Pamelina takes it to another level.  Be sure to check out the photos and zoom in to see the fine detail.  The artwork continues on the side and bottom of the guitar body, throughout the pickguard, bridge and middle pickup covers, and bridge cover.   

 

The body is what stands out of course, but the neck is quite spectacular as well.  It's made of highly figured birdseye maple with an ebony fretboard and custom inlays.  You'll notice the Crown Royal logo first, done in mother of pearl, but look closer to see the gold and purple paint job, unique architecture, and the crown emblem at the base of the neck.

Other features include gold hardware, a vintage style tremolo system, a trio of EMG Strat pickups, a Custom Shop neck plate, and the Fender Custom Shop logo on the back of the headstock.  The guitar is in excellent condition and has been kept well-preserved for the last quarter-century.  There is a small nick on the corner of the middle pickup cover, which is barely noticeable.  It comes with the original tweed hardshell case.  Also, the guitar has been setup to play by the techs in our shop - and yes, it plays well.  

 
In the world of collectible guitars, this Fender Custom Shop Crown Royal Stratocaster is on a level by itself.  This isn't just an amazing instrument built by the Fender Custom Shop, it's a work of art itself.  Pamelina's unique style lends itself to mediums such as this, and the end result is amazing.  This was a one-time run, and will not be recreated.  The combining of mediums, the fusing of music & art, and adding the touch of collectibility makes this extremely special.
