Pre Owned Fender Custom Shop 1960 Stratocaster Relic Olympic White With OHSC

Ah 1960, a new decade for Fender that would bring about many innovations and new players to its illustrious guitars.  Here for you is this Fender Custom Shop 1960 Stratocaster in the iconic Olympic White finish.  We just took it in, and if you're looking for a classic styled Custom Shop Strat on a good deal, you've found it.

This guitar features period-correct components and specifications. The body is lighweight alder with a 1960 contour, and super resonant.  Even unplugged, this guitar sings.  In an interesting twist, you get a 1954 Strat neck profile, so this guitar is perfect for those that want the 60's vibe but the feel of the 50's.  It's sturdy maple neck with a dark rosewood fingerboard.  The modern tweak is that it has 9.5" radius and 6100 (jumbo) frets, making it very playable, especially for leads.

Any Custom Shop Strat is killer, but this one is especially cool.  It was built in 2007 as a Relic, but it's a light Relic (these days it would be called a Journeyman Relic).  It specifically called for no arm rest wear.  Also, as a nice bonus, it was specificed to have a Heavy Relic style neck, giving a true broken in feel that is super comfortable.

This Strat features a set of Custom Shop Texas Special pickups, also great for leads. They are over-wound for increased output; made with alnico 5 magnets and enamel-coated magnet wire for great midrange bite with crystalline highs and tight bass.  There's a good reason these have been some of the most popular pickups coming out of Fender for decades.  You get enamel-coated magnet wire for warm vintage tone, staggered pole pieces for balanced output, and alnico 5 magnets for more focus and enhanced dynamics.  Also, it has a Rreverse-wound middle pickup to eliminate hum.

Other features include a period correct American Vintage tremolo assembly, vintage tuners, and light mint green pickguard to complete the 60's look.

This guitar comes with its original hardshell case and certificate of authenticity.  It's been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop.  The complete package is here, soon to be gone, hopefully to you!
