THE PAMELINA H COLLECTION - FENDER CUSTOM SHOP - UNIVERSAL MONSTERS STRATOCASTER

At Truetone Music, we are proud to partner with some of the greatest manufacturers, builds and musicians out there.  We've had a lot of special collections here - and now we have one of our most special to introduce: the Pamelina H. Collection.
 
Pamelina H. is one of the most renowned guitar painters in the world.  Her legendary work has adorned many Fender Custom Shop instruments, as well as ones built by Gibson, Ibanez, Jackson, Gretsch and many others.  Her work is truly one of a kind, and we are proud to be working with Pamelina on this special project.  In 2011, she partnered with a number of the world's top builders to create a batch of guitars, each of which has a corresponding painting by her.   They have been held in her vault ever since, and now, more than a decade later, we are presenting them as the Pamelina H. Collection, exclusively here at Truetone Music.
 

One of the most impressive guitars in the collection is the "Universal Monsters Stratocaster", built in the Fender Custom Shop and hand-painted by Pamelina H.  This artwork was painted on a Custom Shop Stratocaster that was re-built by Scott Grant, who worked at the Custom Shop.  Pamelina has always loved horror movies and cut her teeth on Universal Studios' classic monsters. Since they were all produced in California, this was a nice way to give a nod to the state while rendering some favorite characters. Included are Frankenstein and the Bride of Frankenstein, the Phantom of the Opera, the Wolfman, Dracula (and his brides), the Mummy, the Creature from the Black Lagoon and the Hunchback of Notre Dame.

 

To make it more special, the original artwork is included as part of the package.  Pamelina included it as part of the package, and had it framed.  Please view the photos and zoom in to see the details.  The painting itself is incredible, and paired with the guitar, this makes for quite the addition to any serious guitar/art collection.  Also included is a print and Certificate of Authenticity by Pamelina.

The guitar features an ash body painted by Pamelina, as well as the pickguard and pickup covers.  Custom knobs were added to fit the artwork.  The maple neck has a rosewood fretboard and white pearl dot inlays.  Other features include a 2 post tremolo system, a trio of Custom Shop Strat pickups, a large headstock, and the Fender Custom Shop logo on the back of the headstock.  

 
The guitar has never been used - it's been in Pamelina's vault since it was built, and is now on the market for the first time.  This isn't just an amazing instrument built by the Fender Custom Shop, it's a work of art itself.  Pamelina's unique style lends itself to mediums such as this, and the end result is amazing.  There is only one of these out there, and it cannot be recreated.  The combining of mediums, the fusing of music & art, and adding the touch of collectibility makes this extremely special.
