Pre Owned Gibson Custom Shop Memphis 1958 Reissue ES-335TDN ‘58 Natural With OHSC

We have an incredible reissue of a legendary semi-hollow guitar with this Gibson Custom Shop1958 ES-335TDN Reissue in Natural.  Made in their Memphis facility, it represents the best of an era from Gibson.  You get an incredible instrument that features vintage specs and detailed craftsmanship.

This semi-hollow guitar is period correct resissue of the iconic "dot neck" version from debut year of 1958.  It faithfully replicates the original’s iconic design. Its 3-ply maple top and back, reinforced with hot hide-glued quartersawn Adirondack spruce bracing, produce a dynamic, resonant tone with impressive sustain. The vintage-spec mahogany neck features an unbound rosewood fretboard and a historically accurate truss rod, preserving the classic feel with elegant pearloid dot inlays.

Equipped with a pair of Memphis Historic Spec (MHS) alnico pickups, each featuring individual volume and tone controls, this guitar lets you effortlessly craft bright, chiming country sounds or aggressive, distorted rock tones. The Alnico III neck pickup produces classic hollowbody-style warmth suited for smooth jazz and gritty blues, while the Alnico II bridge pickup offers a versatile range from clear and bright to gritty and powerful. 

This faithful Gibson 1958 ES-335 reissue also includes stopbar tailpiece, tune-o-matic bridge, aged nickel pickups covers, amber pickup controls, vintage-style switch tip cover, and multi-ply black long ES-335 pickguard. You'll stay in tune with ease with its period-correct Gibson Deluxe tuners with pearloid butttons. 

All in all this is a perfect recreation of an iconic year of the ES-335.  You don't see many of them out there - especially not as nice as this one.  The guitar is super clean, as the previous owner bought as a collector.  It's a nice weight too, coming in at just 8.2 lbs.

The guitar in excellent condition and comes with its certificate of authenticity as well as the original hardshell case.  The techs in our shop have set it up to play perfectly.  Any Gibson Custom Shop build is impressive, but this Memphis-made 1958 ES-335TDN is quite the score.
