Taylor Gold Label 814e Honduran Rosewood Natural with Case
A New Recipe for an Old Voice
Boasting superior craftsmanship, top-tier tonewoods and a bevy of design innovations, the Gold Label 814e introduces the world to a new kind of Taylor sound. This model features a new body shape called the Super Auditorium that yields impressive power with a heritage-inspired warmth and richness that will entice traditionalists and contemporary ears alike.
The Gold Label Collection draws inspiration from flattop acoustic guitars from the 1930s and ’40s, whose warm, woody sound and open, sweet character came to define generations of music.
This model features the new Super Auditorium body shape, similar to the well-known Grand Auditorium but with slightly wider contours that, along with a new fanned V-Class bracing variant, help it generate greater power while remaining focused and clear at any volume. The projection is powerful without being overbearing, the bottom end is present in a way not normally heard on a Taylor, and the top end shimmers just as you would expect. Simply put, it sounds amazing.
Back and sides of Honduran rosewood are paired with a torrefied Sitka spruce top, delivering exceptional low-end presence, clear trebles and a complex harmonic character with overtones that bloom as notes resonate. Inside, a new iteration of our V-Class bracing dials up longer sustain, greater volume and near-perfect pitch accuracy all the way up the neck. A new long-tenon neck joint improves overall resonance and sonic transfer, also providing super-precise adjustability whenever the need arises.
This Super Auditorium guitar sports a fresh suite of visual appointments with a new Continental inlay suite, a new pickguard design, grained ivoroid trim, antique chrome Gotoh 510 tuners with ebony buttons, bone bridge pins, and a gloss-finished body. It ships with LR Baggs Element VTC electronics and a deluxe hardshell case with a British Cocoa exterior.
