The PRS Core Hollowbody II Piezo is one of the most versatile PRS guitars ever made, giving players an exceptional hollow body instrument that can also be a confident acoustic electric. The PRS Core series is the heart of PRS guitars with excellent specs and features that make them a standout.
We just took this one in, which was made in 2024 and kept in great shape. While most of what you see from PRS features transparent finishes to highlight the wood grain and create a visual statement, some players prefer something a bit more subdued - that's what this is. But we wouldn't call it plain - the guitar is still striking. The Antique White top & back aesthetic looks killer with the Natural sides, completed by the flame maple binding. It's quite classy.
This PRS Core Hollowbody II comes with a resonant hollowbody with a maple top and back, and mahogany sides. The body comes with stylish "F"-holes and the top and back comes with a vibrant finish that really pops. The set one-piece mahogany neck comes with a pattern neck profile which is ultra comfortable with a sturdy double truss rod. The neck has a rosewood fingerboard with a 10" radius, with 22 frets and adorned with the iconic Birds fretboard inlays.
The PRS Core Hollowbody II Piezo comes equipped with the versatile LR Baggs/PRS Piezo System, offering musicians the ability to seamlessly switch between acoustic and electric guitar tones. With two output jacks, this guitar can be easily connected to an electric or acoustic amplifier or directly to a soundboard for optimal sound quality.By utilizing the separate blend control, the tone of the Hollowbody II Piezo's 58/15 LT pickups can also be combined with acoustic sounds through a single output.
In 2024, PRS Guitars made updates to the tuning machines on various Core guitars. The new Wing buttons, with their design inspired by the bird wingspan at the 12th fret, were specifically crafted for tonal purposes, dating back to 1982. The lightweight composition of these buttons means they absorb less energy from the vibrating strings, resulting in a longer and more musically rich ring from the guitar. Additionally, non-tremolo-equipped guitars have eliminated the tuner's locking feature, resulting in further weight reduction.
