he Fizz Fuzz Germanium.  A great classic sound, different from the silicon Fizz Fuzzes.  The biasing resistor values are like the older germanium "biker fuzzes", high gain and totally different than the silicone versions.

The Fizz control adjusts the bias of the first transistor to provide a wide range of extra sounds. 

There is a handy battery on/off switch so you can leave the cables connected without draining the battery.

Transistors are old stock from the former Soviet Union.  Each is auditioned for suitable tone.
