You don't need a DeLorean to travel back to 1985, enjoy the tones of this Gibson ES-335 in Ebony! The Gibson ES-335 is the most imitable semi-hollow body guitar ever created and we have an exemplary one.

This 1985 Gibson ES-335 Dot combines semi-hollow construction with a laminated maple body and internal solid center block, delivering versatile tonal character that balances acoustic resonance with sustain for higher-gain applications. The set mahogany neck features Gibson's rounded "C" profile for a smooth feel, while the rosewood fingerboard showcases the model's signature pearloid dot position markers. 

The punch and power of this iconic guitar with its pair of upgraded humbuckers. This one is packed with Shawbucker humbuckers that deliver tones that are rich, thick, and warm. Easily dial in your favorite tones with its 3-way pickup selector, individual volume and tone controls. There is no musical style or playing that this guitar does not excel with.  Ok, maybe you won't be playing thrash metal on this thing (though it would be interesting to see someone doing Slayer on an ES-335).  But, it is a versatile guitar, even more so than many people realize.

This guitar is equipped with period-correct hardware including a Tune-o-matic bridge, stopbar tailpiece, and Grover tuners.  Everything on the guitar is original.  But, the pickguard disappeared over the decades.  We think it looks better without it anyway.  The original hardshell case is included as well.

This Gibson ES-335 is in good condition, especially considering it's now 40 years old - there's honest player wear and is not a mint piece, but nothing major is going on, and it has a great played in feel.  It's been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop and is ready to go!
