Crazy Tube Circuits Rapture Overdrive Pedal

Rapture brings the complete amplifier-foundation section of Triptychon to a dedicated standalone format. It is a low to mild overdrive designed around the qualities of a classic tube amplifier at its sweet spot: natural compression, harmonic development, touch sensitivity and a gradual transition from clean to breakup. It retains the original Triptychon’s drive voice at its core while adding two interactive toggle switches that extend its headroom, gain structure and clipping response.

With MORE and MOD in their lower positions, Rapture delivers the exact drive circuit of Triptychon. Engaging MOD offers a more open response, closer to the feel of extending a tube amplifier’s clean headroom by adding another set of power tubes and a beefed up output transformer. MORE interacts directly with both the drive control and MOD toggle, changing in gain intensity and character as their settings change. Together, they open up more pushed variations of the same core voice rather than separate channels.

It is designed to work wherever its character is useful in a signal chain. Experiment with it at the beginning or end of your chain, before or after other drives, or even after time-based effects; let your ears decide.
