Triptychon is a fully analog, three-part sonic artwork designed to recreate the way legendary fuzz guitar tones were originally built, combining three essential building blocks of classic tone. Built around a triptych philosophy, it brings together fuzz, treble boost/upper octave fuzz, and amp-like drive into a single, highly interactive instrument, where each section can operate independently or as part of a complete gain structure.
Triptychon uses metal can silicon transistors (fuzz & boost sections) in a custom piggybacking circuit designed to deliver authentic germanium-like dynamic response and clean-up to your guitar’s volume, with stable performance in all conditions.

• Three Iconic Tone Engines. One Pedal
All-analog, vintage fuzz, treble boost or upper octave, and drive in a fully integrated system
• Germanium Feel. Silicon Stability
Metal-can transistors with a special design for true vintage sound and cleanup without
temperature issues
• Four Legendary Fuzz Voices Built In
Fuzz Face, Vox Tone Bender, Tone Bender mk1.5 and Tone Bender mk2
• Designed for Real-World Rigs
Smart routing, assignable drive, and buffer-matching circuits for flawless live performance

Fuzz Section
The center column is the heart of Triptychon.
It is based on the Constellation concept and built around metal can silicon transistors, using a special circuit arrangement called the piggybacking setup.

This is not a simple germanium-to-silicon substitution. The piggybacking setup is a dedicated circuit design that allows metal can silicon transistors to closely emulate the feel, response, and cleanup behavior of classic germanium fuzz designs, while avoiding the instability and inconsistency that germanium transistors can exhibit due to temperature and humidity changes.

A key part of this design is how the fuzz cleans up with the guitar’s volume control.
Thanks to the piggybacking setup, the fuzz responds and cleans up just like a true
germanium fuzz, something that conventional silicon fuzz circuits typically do not achieve.
The result is the musical character of vintage fuzz with stable, reliable performance in all
environments.

Available Fuzz Voices
• Fuzz Face
• Vox Tone Bender
• Tone Bender 1.5
• Tone Bender 2
Controls
• Fuzz – Sets the amount and intensity of fuzz
• Voice – Selects one of the four fuzz voices
• Master Volume – Overall output level of the fuzz section
The fuzz section stands perfectly on its own, from subtle vintage breakup to fully saturated
classic fuzz tones.

Boost / Octave Section
The right column adds emphasis, character, and classic lead textures.
The Gain control adjusts the level of either the Boost or the Octave, depending on the
selected mode.

Toggle Switch

Selects between Boost and Octave on the fly.

Boost
A Rangemaster-style treble booster.
While original Rangemaster designs used germanium transistors, the Triptychon boost is built around metal can silicon transistors combined with the piggybacking setup, allowing it to capture the tonal character, dynamic response, and cleanup behavior associated with classic germanium treble boosters, without their sensitivity to environmental conditions.
With the MOD switch engaged, the boost becomes a fuller mid boost, adding body and
presence.

This section works especially well:
• on its own into a slightly driven or overdriven amp
• combined with the fuzz for higher-gain and harmonically rich sounds
• together with the drive section

Octave
An upper octave circuit.
• MOD off: a cleaner, more defined upper octave character
• MOD on: a stronger, more aggressive octave that transitions into a fuzzier texture
When MOD is engaged, the octave circuit is loosely inspired by the Foxx Tone Machine.
Sounds Available in This Section
• Treble Boost
• Mid Boost
• Cleaner Upper Octave
• Fuzzed Upper Octave

Drive Section
The drive section exists for a very specific and historically accurate reason.
In classic recordings and vintage guitar setups, fuzzes and treble boosters were rarely used
into perfectly clean amplifiers.

Instead, players ran them into already pushed or overdriven amps, allowing the amplifier
itself to contribute compression, saturation, and harmonic richness.
The drive section in Triptychon was designed to recreate this interaction.

It allows players to achieve the same feel and response even when using a clean amplifier,
effectively recreating the sound and behavior of a driven amp beneath the fuzz or boost.
At the same time, the drive section stands confidently on its own as a musical, transparent
drive with a distinct analog character.

Controls
• Drive – Gain amount
• Tone – Overall tonal balance
• Master – Output level of the drive section
Assign Switch
The drive section can be assigned to engage together with:
• the fuzz footswitch, or
• the boost / octave footswitch
With an external XT footswitch, the drive can also operate independently.
