Fender Custom Shop
The Fender Custom Shop excels in a lot of ways - vintage, modern, aged, super clean, traditional, unique, straight-forward and funky.  Whatever you want, they can do.  Sometimes a player wants the vibe of the 50's but with the feel of the 60's.  That's where this one comes in - and it's amazing.

This Custom Shop 1952 Telecaster appears to be an old school, period correct classic.  Ash body, Butterscotch Blonde, single-ply black pickguard, brass saddles, '51 Nocaster pickups - the whole enchilada.  But, for those that just can't deal with the fat neck shape of an early 50's Tele, we have you covered.  This one features 60 Oval "C" profile (.790 - .930"), the most popular neck shape for Custom Shop guitars.  So, you get the look and sound of the original Tele but with the slim & sleek playability of a '60's neck version.

This Tele has a two-piece select ash body that is has been sorted for lightweight - the guitar weighs just 6.8 lbs.  The star of the show is a stunning AA flame maple neck - it looks great in the photos but even better in person.  It's not just about looks - this neck feels incredible.  The slightly worn in lacquer finish makes a dream to play, and the combination of  60 Oval "C" neck profile, along with narrow tall (6105) frets and a 9.5" radius creates a modern playing experience while allowing easy bending without the fear of fretting out.

For the pickups, we chose the Custom Shop '51 Nocaster set, which provides the sound of the original Telecasters that Leo Fender first designed.  It's the true "old school" tone, with everything you need and nothing that you don't.  Created with the original design in mind, these pickups accurately recreate the twang and shimmer of the originals.  They are period-correct, with Alnico 3 magnets, a flush stagger and enamel wire.  The result is a tight low end, clear, balanced midrange and sizzling highs when necessary.

The woods chosen for this guitar really stand out.  You'll see the beautiful AA flame maple on the neck, and be sure to check out the exquisite grain on the ash body.

Other features include a period correct bridge with brass saddles, vintage-style tuning machines, knurled chrome knobs, a bone nut and a single ply black pickguard. The guitar comes with a  Custom Shop tweed hardshell case, strap and certificate of authenticity.

The end result a vintage looking guitar with a slimmer neck.  The pickups bring classic Tele tones.  For those that want this combination, with a super light guitar, this is the one.  Come to Truetone Music to check out this amazing Custom Shop build, or order here right now for it to be sent straight to your home.
