Pre Owned Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition Bow Tie Telecaster Custom Relic Black with OHSC

For something you likely have not seen before, we present the Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition Bow Tie Telecaster Custom Relic.  This guitar represents the creativity coming out of the Custom Shop in the best of ways.  This is from a small run of limited edition guitars they did, and was just built earlier this year.

Dressed in in Black on the front, with Natural back & sides and tasteful tortoise binding and gold hardware, the Bow Tie Tele Custom is a thrilling reimagining a mid-century masterpiece.  A chambered mahogany body keeps it light, a Bigsby adds expressive vibrato.  The Relic finish gives it the look and feel of a guitar that has seen plenty of time on the road.  

The roasted quartersawn maple neck features a very comfortable 10/56 V neck profile, topped with a dark AAA rosewood fretboard that sports a vintage compound radius (7.25 - 9.50").  This makes it easy to bend as you go higher, especially with the Narrow Tall (6105) frets.  

Where the guitar stands out even more is the pickups chosen for it.  You get a killer duo of Lollar single-coil pickups: a B.S. Tele in the bridge and a Charlie Christian model at the neck. The B.S. Tele brings a fatness, with clear tone that still has the the ability to dirty up and give you swampy mojo and plenty of sustain. The Charlie Christian model re-creates the jazz legend’s unique voicing; warmth, balance, and touch sensitivity are very present.  It's a great sound pair and unlike anything else the Fender offers on other Custom Shop guitars.

Besides the Bigsby tremolo, another unique feature is the inclusion of an RSD Jazzmaster/Jaguar bridge.  You also get vintage tuners, a bone nut and tortoiseshell pickguard.

The end result is a bit of a mashup, in the best of ways.  The Bow Tie Telecaster Custom brings a classic aesthetic with custom appointments that make it unlike any other Tele out there.  This is one of the most distinctive Custom Shop releases we've seen in years, and we've done a lot of creative ones ourselves!

The guitar is in excellent condition, comes with the original case and COA, and has been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop.  It's a great find and the only previously owned one on the market, making it a great opportunity.
