One of a Kind Masterbuilt Apprentice Levi Perry Telecaster Deluxe in Black Pearl

Truetone Music is proud to have a long and close relationship with Fender, especially with the Custom Shop.  When a new Masterbuilder is on the rise, we take notice, and when an opportunity arose to get something unique built by Levi Perry, we jumped on it.  He came up with the specs on this one for a special Custom Shop Showcase Dealer event, and we chose a one-off color to make it unique to us.  It's the only one made in Black Pearl.  And Levi knocked it out of the park with this unbelievable build.

This is one of the more unique Telecasters we've had here, and we've had a lot.  First of all, it's a Tele Deluxe featuring 3 pickups: a Twisted Tele in the bridge, a Texas Special Strat in the middle, and a Texas Special Tele in the neck.  All 3 are Handwound pickups, and the combination results in an amazing array of tonal possibilities.  The 5-way switch on the upper bout and innovative wiring brings all of this to life.  The guitar has been equipped with Strat Blender wiring, which allow for 7 pickup combinations - the second tone control is the blender, allowing you to bring in the neck pickup in positions 1 & 2, or the the bridge pickup in positions 4 & 5.  Also, the master volume has the tone saver bleed function, so you can roll down the volume without losing tone.  All in all, this makes for a seriously versatile guitar.

We chose to have this guitar painted in Black Pearl, making it the only one in this color.  That, along with the torstoise shell binding and pickguard, gives the guitar a very unique look.  For added comfort, the back of the body has the "belly cut" contour.  Speaking of comfort, the neck is a very comfortable to play 60's Oval C shape, with a little extra meat on it in the first position for easy chord playing.  The 1st fret depth is .850", and the 12th fret depth is .920".  A 9.5" radius and medium jumbo frets ensures you won't fret out, even when bending high on the neck.  It's a roasted flame maple neck, capped with dark rosewood fretboard.  The added twisted here is that the hole neck has been painted, along with the headstock, to match the body.  For one more piece of uniqueness, the guitar has ebony tuner buttons, which is a subtle but classy touch to add on.

Levi created a killer guitar that does so much more than your average Tele.  It has a signature look, a ton of options for the sound it can create, and an amazing feel.  Also, this guitar is a great weight, coming in at 7.5 lbs.  It comes with the original hardshell case, strap and Certificate of Authenticity.
