Fender Custom Shop Postmodern Journeyman Relic Tele 2 Tone Olympic White Charcoal Frost Metallic
POSTMODERN TELECASTER JOURNEYMAN RELIC
An elegant instrument with a striking bound top, the Postmodern Tele combines classic elements with modern features that should entice any player to pick it up. The two-piece Alder body is crafted from alder selected for its weight and grain, and its Journeyman Relic flash coat lacquer finish gives it the look and feel of a well-loved original piece while letting the wood breathe with more sustain and wearing in a personal style.
Fast-playing and supple, the tinted riftsawn maple neck sports a comfortable “ ‘60s –Style Oval C”-shaped profile and hosts a modern, 12”-radius round-lam maple fingerboard with 22 medium-jumbo frets for a familiar, contemporary playing experience.
A classic pairing, we combined a Hand-Wound Original Blackguard single-coil bridge pickup with a Twisted Tele single-coil neck pickup—all tied together with Fat ‘50s Tele wiring—for hot, vintage-informed tone that can only come from Fender.
Other features include a 3-ply Mint Green nitrocellulose pickguard, contoured neck heel for comfortable upper register access, ’58-’63 Tele bridge with RSD saddles for accurate intonation, vintage-style tuning machines, bone nut and wing string tree with metal spacer. Includes deluxe hardshell case, strap and Certificate of Authenticity.
