Hummingbird Original

One of Gibson's most distinctive acoustic instruments - for over 50 years, it's been an icon in the guitar world.  There's really nothing else like it, with instantly recognizable look to it's amazing tone and superb playability.

Built in Bozeman, Montana, this guitar is a great example of what Gibson's acoustic team is aable to do.  Premium toneoods include solid mahogany for the back and sides, a Sitka spruce top, and a mahogany neck wiht a select rosewood fretboard.  It's super easy to play and the neck is very comfortable.  The bakc & sides provide a warm, round tone, accented perfectly by the sparkle and clarify provide by the spurce top.

The Hummingbird Original is outfitted with LR Baggs's trusted Element VTC electronics, including a reliable low-profile undersaddle transducer and discreet soundhole-mounted preamp with volume control. This innovative design eliminates excess components, resulting in improved pickup-to-guitar coupling and enhanced sensitivity for a vibrant and authentic acoustic sound, complete with fantastic dynamics and delicate high end.

Outfitted with gold Gotoh Keystone tuners, double antiqued binding, a traditional Hummingbird truss rod cover, and a bone nut and saddle, it's available in Antique Natural or Heritage Cherry Sunburst finish.  A deluxe hardshell case is included.
