Here at Truetone, we've been fans of Novo guitars for some time, and are excited to become a dealer.  We've built a strong relationship, just received our first batch and are proud to now be the destination for Novo in the Los Angeles area.

The Novo Nucleus Idris HSS is a truly stunning guitar, matched with modern playability, that comes in a familiar yet unique format. It's built with a tempered pine body and maple neck, resulting in great resonance, even unplugged.   The light distress finish gives it character and vintage appeal.  It's a thin nitrocellulose lacquer that will age naturally with your playing over the years.  The way that Novo does the aging work makes each guitar unique to itself - check out the photos closely to see how this one was done.  

The Medium "C" neck profile offers comfortable playability for extended sessions - it's a relatively slim profile but we wouldn't call it skinny.  It has a great vintage grip without being too fat. The rosewood fingerboard with MOTO dot inlays and medium nickel/silver frets ensures smooth, responsive playing.  It has a 25.5" scale length with a 1.65″ nut width, while the 9.5″-14" compound fingerboard radius accommodates both open chords and lead work.   You can bend to your heart's content in the higher register without the fear of fretting out.  

Where this guitar really stands out is how it sounds.  It's loaded with a great set of pickups that provide a versatility not seen on most guitars.  In the neck and middle positions, it's the Lindy Fralin Vintage Hot Strat pickups, which bring a warm midrange and amazing clarity to the sparkling top end.  In the bridge position, it's a Fralin Modern PAF humbucker for higher output, thicker midrange, and powerful modern tones.  You also get a the ability to blend and get series/parallel sounds with a push-push pot.  Whether clean or overdriven, or layered with effects, the Idris HSS can handle it all.

The guitar is loaded with top-notch hardware as well.  You get a MannMade Vibrato bridge, along with the Novo 18:1 tuners.  The guitar also features a bone nut, cream white knobs and a beautiful tortoiseshell pickguard with a matching backplate.  We chose to do this one in Olympic White with a matching headstock - this guitar brings 60's vibes with modern functionality.

Strung with Stringjoy Signature 10-48 strings for balanced tone and playability, the Nucleus Idris HSS arrives in a Novo Deluxe Padded Soft Case for protection. An excellent choice for players seeking a versatile, well-crafted instrument with distinctive character and reliable hardware.  This is truly one of the coolest guitars we have here now.
