This 1968 Hagstrom HB-1 bass exemplifies Swedish craftsmanship from the golden age of its vintage instruments. The instrument's lightweight construction and streamlined neck profile deliver exceptional comfort and its distinctive plastic composite body produces a characteristically bright, articulate tone through its single-coil pickup configuration.

You don't see many of these around, and we were thrilled to see it come in the door.  This has become one of our favorite basses in the shop.

This 1968 Hagstrom HB-1, a testament to Swedish innovation and craftsmanship features a clever combination of acrylic plastic and vinyl materials that creates a bass that's wonderfully lightweight, making it a joy to play for hours. The internal sound posts work together to deliver clear, resonant tones that cut through any mix. The ultra-slim neck, reinforced by Hagstrom's patented "H" expander rod, feels fantastic in your hands, while the beautiful rosewood fingerboard with pearl inlays adds vintage charm.

The HB-1 comes with a great single-coil pickup that delivers distinctive punchy tones that bring plenty of low end but have an exceptional midrange. Find your tones with ease with individual volume and tone controls. 

With this Hagstrom you get classic hardware such as wooden bridge with tray bridge, distinct open-gear tuners with plastic buttons.
