The GS-500 is a modified electric guitar made in collaboration between Roland and Japanese guitar-maker FujiGen. The Roland GR-500 is a versatile synth with an amazing range of sounds and controls. Here we have both as a package deal.
The GS-500 guitar features a beautiful single-cut mahogany body very much inspired by an LP with a tasty sunburst finish and a bound top. You get a bounded maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. The guitar comes with a set of Gotoh-style tuners to keep you in tune.
The heart of this guitar its extensive electronics. You get a a standard humbucking pickup with a specialized innovative hexaphonic pickup which sends the individual string singles to the synthesizer. This is perfect to maximize the sonic versatility of this incredible guitar. Imagine assign different tones to each string. It's completely possible with this setup. With the standard humbucker you also get all the classic guitar tones you want without any synth or blend them. The possibilities are endless. In addition there is also an infinite sustain system which uses magnets in the neck position to create a feedback loop which causes the strings to vibrate when fretted.
The Rolad GR-500 is a powerful synthesize that comes with a tremendous amount of control which leads to an expansive range of sounds to explore. You have plenty of sliders to control everything from individual solo voicings, envelope filtering, LFOs, EQs, Pulse Width Modulations, touch sensitivity, and even transposition. This synth has so much to offer and is only bounded by your imagination!
