Used And Vintage Electric Guitars

From the golden era of Yamaha electrics, we have for you this 1984 Yamaha SBG-3000, a truly amazing guitar!  These are rare, especially in such excellent condition as this one.  We've seen a few come through here but never one so clean.

Following the success of its highly praised SG-1000, Yamaha released this fantastic guitar. Based on an original American design, this guitar combines the most advanced Japanese technology of the time, and is a guitar with incredible tone and feel.

This guitar features an arched maple top on a solid mahogany body with a strikingly reddish Sunburst finish, mahogany set-neck and ebony fretboard.  It's easy to play, and the neck profile is very comfortable.  This impressive instrument is adorned with mother of pearl split inlays and luxurious gold hardware.

This SBG-3000 gives you full fat tones and is quite versatile with excellent sustain. Individual volume and tone controls, push-pull pots and a 3-way selector switch allow you to dial in the perfect tone. It's a great guitar for rhythm as well as lead playing. The vintage voiced alnico humbuckers have Spinex magnets and sound amazing.   The ability to split each is a nice feature.

Yamaha only made the SBG3000 for a few years in the mid-80's, as a top of the line model.  It's been in high deman every since then.  It provides great clean tones, warm and articulate, with the ability go hard with overdriven sounds.  The sustain on this guitar is incredible.  The pickups are snesitive to picking dynamics and really provide a powerful punch when needed.  Due to the controls, the guitar is super versatile.

This lovely instrument is in great shape, especially considering that it just turned 40 years old.  It comes with its original hardshell case. The guitar has been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop.  You will rarely find an SBG3000 like this one, and we think it won't be here for long!
