Pre Owned 1997 Fender 90's Telecaster Thinline Natural With Case

The Fender Telecaster Thinline is a Tele in a class of its own. Here for sale is a fine example of what makes them special. This is a Tele with no limits that has been prized by such players as Curtis Mayfield, Bill Fresel, Conway Twitty, Carrie Brownstein, Thom Yorke, Jim Adkins and many more. First introduced in the 1968, Fender tapped German luthier Roger Rossmeisl, who previously worked on Gibson and Rickenbacker designs, to create a Telecaster with a hollow cavity giving you a unique tone from its solid body counterparts with F-style hole.
This 90's Telecaster Thinline (the official name) has a resonant ash body that is double-bound with a stylish tortoise-style binding and striking . The body produces more open and warmer tones then a solid body with the added benefit of natural acoustics when not plugged in. You get a striped bolt-on maple neck with 22 frets, and this one has a maple fretboard giving you more snap than the more common rosewood fingerboard. To top it off you get a uniquely-shaped tortoise-shell style Telecaster Thinline pickguard to complete the look.
This Thinline Telecaster comes with a pair of single-coil pickups that give you sparkly and chimey tones. It has a 3-way pickup selector and volume and tone controls to effortlessly find your sounds in any position. You get a solid ash tray style bridge with the '90s style flat bridge saddles that are quite comfortable especially for palm-muting, and makes intonation quite easy. Throw in Fender die-cast tuners to maintain solid tuning and you have the complete package of an excellent instrument.
This American-made Tele Thinline is in excellent condition, especially considiering it's age, and has been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop. A nice tweed hardshell case is included. This is a great score for sure!
