Vintage And Used Electric Guitars

Made at Fender's facility in Corona, California, the American Vintage 1962 Telecaster Custom features all the original detailing including a lacquer finish, double-bound body, period correct 60's neck shape, 7.25" fingerboard radius, vintage hardware, and all of the vibe you expect from a classic like this! It includes the original tweed case.

This Tele was upgraded with Don Mare pickups - these handwound pickups recreate the sound of the 60's in true fashion, and are very hard to get.  If you want pickups that have great dynamics, sound very open with rich harmonics, these are for you.  They are touch and pick-attack sensitive, are are wound specifically to have a perfect volume and note bloom, without sounding "icey" or treble-heavy.  We plugged this guitar in when we got it, and were blown away by how the pickups sound.

The original Fender pickups are included in the case.  So, you get a free set of pickups.  You could keep the Don Mare pickups in the guitar and sell the Fender pickups.  Or, you could restore the guitar to it's original state by putting the Fender pickups in, and then sell the Don Mare pickups (which seem to go for $300 - 500).
Overall good condition, some player wear is evident.  This guitar was owned by a touring country artist and he definitely used it - it's evident, including on the frets.  They're fine and have life in them, but there are marks, especially in the cowboy chord positions.  Also, there is some "orange peel" in the finish on the body, and small dings around the edges.
If you're looking for a pristine Tele, this isn't it.  But if you want a true player's Tele with some amazing sounding pickups, this is a winner.  Includes the tweed case and everything pictured.
