Pre-Owned 2004 PRS Custom 24 With Crescent Moon Inlays Amber With OHSC

We just took in a rather special guitar - it's a 2004 PRS Custom 24 with Crescent Moon Inlays, with a beautiful Amber finish.
This is a highly desirable, era-specific model that captures a unique chapter in PRS history. Guitars built during the early-to-mid 2000s are widely considered part of PRS's "modern golden era" of production at the Maryland factory. The craftsmanship and wood selection from this timeframe are exceptionally consistent. Furthermore, because PRS has largely phased out moon inlays on core models over the years in favor of standard birds, finding a factory Custom 24 with original moons adds a distinct collector charm While PRS guitars are most famous for their iconic bird inlays, the moon inlays (which feature a beautiful crescent design combining mother of pearl and abalone) are a classic option highly prized by purists who prefer a more understated look. And, of course, it plays amazingly well.
The guitar features the definitive PRS combination—a carved figured maple top paired with a solid mahogany back, and a rock solid mahogany neck topped with a premium East Indian rosewood fretboard. It's a super comfortable neck to play, with a Wide Thin profile. With a 10" radius, it's easy to bend all the way up the neck without fretting out. Outfitted with the incredibly stable PRS patented Gen II tremolo system and Phase II low-mass locking tuners, you're getting high quality hardware as well.
This Custom 24 is loaded with a high-output HFS (Hot, Fat, and Screaming) humbucker in the bridge and a Vintage Bass humbucker in the neck. This gives you a wide tonal range from articulate, glassy cleans through to thick, saturated lead tones with strong midrange focus and definition. The end result is a very versatile guitar that sounds amazing both clean and overdriven. It comes equipped with a master volume, master tone, and the traditional 5-way rotary pickup selector switch, which offers a massive range of single-coil and humbucking parallel/series combinations.
The previous owner took great care of it - so while it does show signs of being played (after all, it is over 20 years old), this Custom 24 is in excellent shape. Everything is original, with the original hardshell case included. Setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop, it's ready for its next home.
