Pre Owned 2008 Gibson X-Plorer Studio Faded Worn Brown With OHSC

Straight out of Nashville circa 2008, this Gibson X-Plorer Studio is a rare find. This one in particular is especially nice - it's in great shape (including the pointed ends), has the original hardshell case and has been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop.
The Gibson Explorer first appeared in 1958 with its distinctive X-shaped body, but initial production ceased in 1959 due to limited popularity. Gibson revived the model in 1975 and has produced it continuously since. This 2008 Faded Explorer features a solid mahogany body and neck, a rosewood fretboard with 22 frets, a Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge, nickel stop tailpiece, and nickel mini Grover tuners. It includes a 3-way pickup selector, black speed knobs for neck and bridge volume, and a master tone control. The slim C-profile neck enhances playability. Unlike traditional Explorers, this model’s body is treated with wood pore filler and finished with a thin satin nitrocellulose lacquer, resulting in a lightweight, natural feel.
The 2008 Gibson X-Plorer Studio, commonly referred to as the Explorer, is built with a mahogany body and neck paired with a rosewood fingerboard. The C profile neck shape is quite comfortable to play. The guitar sounds amazing too - it's equipped with two uncovered "Dirty Fingers" humbuckers, featuring dual volume controls and a single tone control. The guitar includes a tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece for stable tuning and sustain. Its scale length measures 24.75 inches, and the finish is super cool.
