Pre-Owned 2008 James Trussart SteelDeville Antique Copper With OHSC

We just took in a rare and amazing guitar with this James Trussart Steel Deville.  It was built in 2008, owned by a collector that keeps all of his gear clean, and is now available on the market for the first time.  

James Trussart guitars are highly prized for their unique metal designs in classic body shapes and this is a great example of one.  For those that don't know, Trussart has been crafting these incredible instruments since the late 1980's, and created a name for himself over the decades.  Players such as Keith Richards, Sonny Landreth, Tom Morello and many more have put his builds to use.  He is one of the few builders who has broken the mold of traditional guitar making. Working with steel as the primary material, he produces guitars that are as unique in appearance as they are in tone.

What we have here is an hand-made boutique electric guitar, crafted in America, featuring a hollow steel body and custom metal engravings.  The body has a perforated back for weight reduction and increased resonance.   The solid mahogany neck has a super comfortable '59 neck profile and is fitted with a rosewood fingerboard that sports a 10" radius for easy bending.  The 24.5" scale length and vintage components make this instrument feel like home the minute you lay your hands on it.  The construction of these instruments is only half of the story, the other half is the finish, every instrument comes with a history and a slight element of neglect, of decay, so it has a personality of its own.

This guitar features custom hand-wound Arcane Inc. humbuckers.  The Trussart SteelDeville tone is a uniquely classic, thick and resonant tone combined with an edge that cuts through. These pickups accent that perfectly.  Whether playing clean or dirty, they can handle a variety of styles with ease.

Other features include a recessed steel headcap (adds mass for sustain), a Tune-O-Matic bridge/tailpiece, dual volume and tone controls, and a 3-way toggle switch.  The original G&G hardshell case and a signed Certificate of Authenticity is included.
