The world didn't end in 2012, in fact, this awesome bass was made! Here's this 2012 Fender American Standard Jazz Bass in Olympic White. This version of the iconic Fender Jazz Bass brings a thin undercoat on the alder body so it can "breathe" and vibrate more freely. Dig in and you can feel it in your chest especially when you dig into the E-string.

The alder body has the classic contours and the Olympic White finish really pops. The neck is that classic, slim Jazz profile we all love, but with a satin finish on the back that feels like a well-worn pair of jeans—fast, smooth, and never sticky. The maple board brings you plenty of snap.

Loaded with two American Standard Alnico V single-coils, this J-Bass does exactly what it’s supposed to do: it growls. Whether you’re looking for that bridge-pickup "burp" or the wide-open scooped slap tone, it’s all here.

It also features the High Mass Vintage (HMV) bridge. It gives you the classic look of a top-load bridge but with the rock-solid sustain and punch of a through-body design. Combined with the Hipshot lightweight tuners, this bass balances perfectly on a strap without the dreaded "neck dive."

This bass is in good condition - there are dings on the body, as it was a utilized by a pro musician (she's only parting with it in favor of a short-scale for her next tour).  The neck is in great shape.  It's been fully inspected, and set up by our professional repair shop. This one is ready to go, with a gig bag included.
