There really is nothing like a Gretsch G6120 aka the Chet Atkins, and this one is a true marvel. This 2014 Gretsch G6120-59QM-LTD Limited Edition '59 Chet Atkins is an absolute masterpiece of classic American style and Japanese craftsmanship, taking one of the most iconic hollowbody designs in music history and dialing it up to 11!

Truetone has been a long time Gretsch dealer, and we love it when a special guitar makes its way back.  That's the situation with this one - it was a brand new guitar in 2014, sold to a great customer of ours, and is now available again.  Thankfully he kept it in great shape.  We're excited to be able to present it here.

From the Terada factory, this limited-run beauty upgrades the standard maple top for a jaw-dropping, highly figured quilted maple.  It's stunning. The hollow maple body comes with the iconic vintage orange stain. It come with the true '59 vintage-correct construction, including a 2.75-inch deep hollowbody body, trestle bracing to tame feedback while maximizing sustain. The mahogany neck features a comfortable vintage "V" profile capped with a bound ebony fingerboard and classic thumbnail inlays. Whether you're picking fast rockabilly runs, laying down lush jazz chords, or driving a cranked tube amp, this guitar feels great in the hands for hours of playing. 

With its pair of classic TV Jones Filter'Tron pickups, you get plenty of great tones with power and pure 1950s twang, punch, and growl. This limited edition Chet Atkins comes with the classic controls with individual volume controls, master volume control, pickup selector switch, and tone selector switch. 

From its nitrocellulose lacquer finish and gold hardware to the classic Bigsby B6G vibrato tailpiece with wooden base with metal bridge, every inch of this instrument radiates custom shop craftsmanship. You also get vintage-style open tuning gears and zero nut. This guitar delivers all the legendary snap, bite, and woody airiness of a golden-era Chet Atkins model, all wrapped up in a rare, collectible package.

This Gretsch guitar is in excellent condition and has been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop.  It comes with a certificate of authenticity and its orignal hardshell case.  It's truly a special score!
