Pre-Owned 2016 Fender American Vintage 1958 Telecaster Aged White Blonde with OHSC
For the guitarist who craves pure vintage Fender style, the American Vintage Series presented original-era model year guitars built with meticulous attention to accurate detail that bring Fender history and heritage to authentic and exciting new life. Originally released in 2012, the entire series was an entire hit - players loved the vintage vibe, the thin lacquer finish, and the dedication to historical accuracy.
Original-era rock 'n' roll was in full swing in 1958, and the Telecaster was right there with it, already a must-have instrument for working guitarists nationwide. It was a year when the Tele took on subtly stylish new design touches, including a "D"-shaped neck profile and staggered bridge pickup pole pieces. Built using original tooling and based on early 1958 models that Fender tracked down, the U.S.-made American Vintage '58 Telecaster nailed it all.
Here we have one of those versions, built in 2016, in Aged White Blonde - a color that Fender only did for a couple of years. It's good shape - it has a lot of wear, and this guitar was played and the super thin lacquer finish shows its (see photos). If you're looking for a perfectly clean guitar, this isn't it. But if you're okay with some honest player wear and plan to add more, then this is a great Tele for you. The guitar has been vetted and set up to play perfectly by the techs in our repair shop. It includes the original hardshell case and all of the original accessories, paperwork, etc.
The American Vintage 1958 Tele features a period-correct early-1958 large maple neck with a comfortable "D"-shaped profile, which is super comfortable. Fender created all-new pickups for this model, which were wound to period-correct specs and sound, with early-1958 staggered bridge pickup pole magnets. It also has the correct solid steel "barrel" bridge saddles, "Top-hat" switch tip and flat-top knurled aluminum chrome control knobs.
