Pre-Owned 2016 Warwick Custom Shop Masterbuilt Corvette $$ Bass Flamed Maple & Bubinga With Gig Bag

Originally built as a NAMM show piece, this amazing bass made its way to the legendary bass-only shop, The Bass Place in Arizona.  It was in a private collection for the past 10 years, and has now made its way here to Truetone.  Immediately, it stood out as one of the coolest basses we've had here in recent years, perhaps ever.

Right off the bat, you'll notice the woods: the body is made from Swamp Ash, with a flame Maple and Bubinga top.  The natural transparent satin finish shows the grain beautifully.  The flame Maple neck and fretboard also stand - the end result is stunning.  Other premium features that will grab your attention are the custom tuners with wooden pegs, illuminated side dots, the brass nut, and bronze jumbo frets.

Of course it's not just about looks and specs - this Warwick Corvette $$ plays and sounds amazing.  The tone woods chosen are naturally resonant, providing a solid foundation for a powerful bass.  If you like it thick, aggressive, and punchy, this one is for you. It features dual humbucker pickups and an active preamp, giving you deep lows and a clear, harmonically beautiful top end.  This is the sort of bass that has no problem cutting through the mix, heavy amongst slamming drums and thick, distorted guitars.  But, it's also at home for super clean situations.  It's a truly versatile instrument.  

The Corvette $$ is loaded with two MEC humbuckers. Each has its own 3-way switch to give you full tonal control.  Go to series mode for a thick and powerful signal that boosts the low-mid frequencies.  Go to parallel mode for a clearer with more scooped, punchy tone and great high-frequency definition.  And go to single coil mode for mid-heavy tone perfect for fingerstyle playing.  You can play around with all of that to really dial in a sound that is all you, without compromise.

The bottom line is that a Warwick Custom Shop Masterbuilt bass is always going to be special, but one like this takes it to another level.  We can see why Warwick chose to feature it at the 2016 NAMM show.  Thankfully the previous owner kept it in great condition - it's quite clean.  The techs in our shop have setup the bass to play perfectly.  A gig bag is included as is the original owners guide, user kit and paperwork.

We'll be sad to see this one go, and we think it could happen fast, so don't sleep on this one if you're serious about it!
