If you're looking for a distinctive twist on a classic design, the Gibson Mod Collection is a great call.  It showcases the renowned company's dedication to delivering one-of-a-kind models, rare finds, prototypes, and more. This particular model is especially intriguing as it is a 70s Explorer, crafted as a unique, one-off creation.

The color is Fatigure Tan, something you may have never seen on an Explorer.  We sure haven't!  It's a unique, and looks great witht he black pearl pickguard.  This isn't just an aesthetic thing - this guitar is super comfortable to play and sounds amazing as well.  It features a slim taper neck profile, 12" radius on the fretboard, and a '80s Tribute Neck/Burstbucker 3 Bridge humbucker combination. Other features include Grover Rotomatic tuners and a a Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge.

It's the tone that really stands out.  The neck pickup uses an Alnico 5 magnet and offers a moderate, smooth, and well-rounded voice.  What's really nice is the clarity and how it doesn't get muddy - you get excellent articulation that works great both clean and dirty.  The bridge pickup uses an Alnico 2 magnet and is an overwound, PAF-style humbucker, bringing depth and string-to-string separation that really shines when playing lead lines.  You can get aggressive with it and expect a great response when going for overdriven tones, but with the ability to clean up nicely as well.

 A unique feature of this guitar is hard to see in the photos but it's there: the pickup covers have graphic digital camo-style pattern, adding to how special this guitar is.  There's only one out there and it's here!

We always feel lucky to have such guitars here, and we're happy to present this amazing creation. This guitar was built in Nasvhille in 2022, has been well taken care of and is in excellent condition.  The original hardshell case is included, as well as a Certificate of Authenticity.  The techs in our shop have set it up to play perfectly, so it's ready to go!
