Based on its iconic year of production, this Martin D-18 Authentic 1937 is a dreadnaught that exemplifies the very best of what Martin and acoustic guitars can be!  It's a cannon of pure acoustic bliss with the deepest, richest tones made with high quality tone-woods and legendary craftmanship.   

Made in 2022, this was a new guitar here at Truetone just a few years ago, and is now back.  The previous owned took great care of it.  Vetted and setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop, this D-18 Authentic 1937 is now ready for it's next home.

The Martin Dreadnaught body size is one of the most iconic designs ever made. This particular model brings you that robust body size made with exceptional choices of mahogany back and sides and an Adirondack spruce top. Add in its authentic 1937 Forward-Shifted X-Brace pattern with scalloped bracings which all combine to bring you the magic of a pre-war Martin. This guitar delivers a full body spectrum of great tones from powerful lows, articulate midrange, and of course that top end sparkle. Whether its fingerpicking or flatpicking you get excellent projection and versatile instrument for any style of music. 

This Martin comes with a Authentic 1937 VTS (Vintage Tone System) which torrifies the top and body wood to give it a more open and vintage-sound than a newer instrument, making it sound more alive like a true vintage instrument. Enjoy the feel of its Authentic 1937 mahogany neck with a wide 1 3/4" nut width which comes with a bone nut for improved sustain and tuning. 

There is a precise level of detail of this fine reissue that makes it an incredible instrument,  with everything from its dovetail neck joint, hide glue construction and of course its hardware. This Martin D-18 Authentic 1937 comes with aged Waverly nickel open back
tuners with butterbean buttons. 

All in all, this a Martin guitar built to the exacting specs of the legendary guitars that made the company a household name. This one is in excellent condition and comes with its original hardshell case.  if you've been looking for a great deal on a premium vintage-styled acoustic, this is quite the find.
