Used And Vintage

You made it! You're a lefty on Broadway! This Epiphone Broadway is a legendary hollow body from Epiphone's rich archtop history. This elegant guitar has the design, feel, and tones that has made it a timeless instrument.  You don't see these very often, especially as clean as this one, and definitely not left-handed.  As an added bonus, this one has a nice hardshell case too.

The Epiphone Broadway is an archtop hollowbody composed of laminated maple with a select spruce top. The body is resonant with warm tones and plenty of projection. It has a beautiful sunburst finish and cream double binding. The set hard rock maple neck SlimTaper C-Profile which is comfy on the hands and more modern feel than the early Broadway models. The neck comes with a bounded Pau Ferro fingerboard with the stylish "block and triangle" mother-of-pearl abalone inlays and a 12" radius. The headstock features a tasteful multi-binding and mother-of-pearl "Vine" inlay.

Enjoy robust tones from its pair of Alnico Classic humbuckers. These pickups provide warm articulate tones that are perfect for strumming or fingerpicking. This guitar has had a rich history as a jazz box but is not limited to that style as you can play anything on it. You can even put some dirt on it too although it should be noted that due to its hollowbody it is prone to feedback at very distorted settings. You can easily dial in your sounds with individual volume and tones for each pickup and a 3-way selector.

This Epiphone Broadway is a real star of a guitar. It comes with gold hardware including a
vintage-style Frequensator split trapeze tailpiece, gold pickup covers, and Grover Rotomatic tuners with a 18:1 ratio. The traditional floating bridge is made with Pau Ferro and has gold adjustable thumbwheels. The multi-bound Imitation "Tortoise" pickguard with metal "E" completes the iconic look.

This guitar is in excellent condition and everything is original.  As mentioned, it comes with a hardshell case.  Setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop, this Broadway is ready to hit the stage!

A little bit of history....

The Broadway debuted in 1931 when founder Epi Stathopoulo introduced the Masterbilt Archtop Collection. Inspired by his father Anastasios who founded the original company as the House of Stathopoulo, Epi was determined to make great sounding instruments with quality materials that were affordable to working musicians—a model that Epiphone still follows today. The original Epiphone showroom on West 14th Street in Lower Manhattan was open to the leading guitarists of the day like Les Paul and George Van Eps who all played a part in inspiring and shaping the modern Broadway. And today, the Epiphone showroom in Nashville still hosts the world’s top guitarists like Billboard Jazz chart topper Nick Colionne who performs with his Epiphone Broadway at jazz festivals around the world.
