Pre Owned D'Angelico Premier Series DC Boardwalk Semi-Hollow Blue Burst With Bag

Up for sale is a fantastic semi-hollow body from one of the most iconic archtop builders D'Angelico, this D'Angelico Premier Series DC Boardwalk! This Blue Burst beauty is a semi-hollow guitar with all the appointments that made D'Angelico but with modern innovations.

This instrument is from the personal collection of the late Brad Pie who played guitar in the 1990’s with the great Johnny Otis.  Along with Johnny’s sons - Shuggie Otis (Guitar) and Nicky Otis (Drums) - Brad contributed guitar to the 1992 Grammy-Nominated “Spirits of the Black Territory Bands” by the Johnny Otis & His Orchestra group.  Many of the instruments from Brad’s collection are uniquely modified and come with various customized accessories. This particular instrument comes with the following:

The guitar has been customized with an aftermarket set of knobs and bullet switch tip. A gig bag is included.  Inside of it you'll find a nice matching strap and cable to complete the outfit.

This D'Angelico Premier Series DC Boardwalk is a sleek double-cutaway semi-hollow body made with laminated maple. This bound body gives you great acoustics perfect  for amplification. You get a set neck with a slim-C neck shape with a rosewood fingerboard with block inlays. The transparent finish really shines showcasing the grain of the body.

This DC Boardwalk features a set of USA-made Seymour Duncan P-90's that give you the thickest tones from a single-coil pickup but still maintains articulation and dynamic range perfect with its semi-hollow body. Easily dial in your desired tones with individual volume and tone controls for each pickup and a 3-way pickup selector. With its player upgrades of swapped knobs and switch tip you have the perfect blend of style and comfort.

This D'Angelico has the iconic D'Angelico headstock shape with inlay. You get the ever-stylish and purpose-full tuners with its tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece keeps you in tune and well-intonated.

This instrument is in excellent condition and has been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop.  It's ready to make it's way to you!
