Pre Owned Fender Albert Collins Signature Telecaster Natural Modified With Case

The Ice Man's '66 Custom Telecaster was faithfully replicated by the Fender Custom Shop, to Albert Collins' specifications - here is one that was further customized, making it the only one out there like it.
This instrument is from the personal collection of the late Brad Pie who played guitar in the 1990’s with the great Johnny Otis. Along with Johnny’s sons - Shuggie Otis (Guitar) and Nicky Otis (Drums) - Brad contributed guitar to the 1992 Grammy-Nominated “Spirits of the Black Territory Bands” by the Johnny Otis & His Orchestra group. Many of the instruments from Brad’s collection are uniquely modified and come with various customized accessories. This particular instrument comes with the following:
The guitar has been upgraded with custom knobs, and engraved bridge cover, and a bullet switch tip. In the case, you'll find the original tone knobs and tip, plus the Certificate of Authenticity, as well as a white strap and cable and guitar tuner.
Features include double-bound swamp ash body, specially shaped maple neck with 21 frets, a custom Seymour Duncan '59 SH-1N humbucking neck pickup and a custom hot vintage-style Fender Texas Special Telecaster bridge pickup. This combination gives you great twang as well as classic humbucker output and power, without ever getting muddy.
The neck has a Large C profile that is on the thicker side (.820 - .920") but not too fat. You get the support for big bends but it's not so big that you can't get around it. It's a really comfortable neck, and the 9.5" helps to prevent fretting out when doing those bends.
The guitar was built in 2007, is in excellent condition, and has been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop. You don't see many Albert Collins Tele's, and this is the only one out there that looks like this!
