Pre Owned '14 Fender American Design Experience Stratocaster Seafoam Green W OHSC

Here's an opportunity to own a one-of-a-kind Strat, and it's definitely one you won't see again!  

This one has an interesting story.....

In 2011, the Fender Visitors Center opened in Corona, CA, right across from the main factory.  Within it, was one of the coolest rooms a guitar player could imagine - it was called the American Design Experience.  Customers could pick & choose different bodies & necks (as well as pickups, parts, etc.) to make their own unique instruments.  Some of them were unique paint jobs, some were exotic woods, some were more traditional.  The ability to create a custom instrument that wasn't quite a Custom Shop build proved to be very popular.  

Due to Truetone Music's relationship with their Fender rep, a special experience was offered: customers could meet at Truetone, take a chartered bus to Fender, get a full behind the scenes tour, and then design their own guitar in the American Design Experience.    It was on one of these trips in 2014 that this guitar was born.  Now, it's back at Truetone, having barely (if ever) been played and is available to anyone that wants a unique Strat.

The main feature is the "less is more" approach - this Strat has a single humbucker and a single volume knob.  Yes, that's it - no other pickups, no tone control, no switching.  Simplicity at it's finest.  

The pickup is a powerful EVH Wolfgang Humbucker.  The guitar also features a hardtail bridge, vintage tuners, and a custom made pickguard on a super cool Seafoam Green body with a compound radius fingerboard of 9.5"-12".  It has a one piece maple neck from the American Vintage 1956 Strat, which has a very comfortable soft V shape.  The lacquer finish has been tinted nicely.

The guitar has been vetted and setup by the techs in our repair shop to play perfectly.  It comes with the original hardshell case.  The condition is top-notch - as mentioned, it appears to not have been played at all.

We've never seen one exactly like this, because there hasn't been one - and there won't be another done through the American Design Experience, since it ceased operation a few years later.  We expect it to go quickly, so get it before it's gone!
