Used And Vintage Acoustic Guitars

A wonderful boutique acoustic guitar is now available at Truetone Music for you: this beautiful Furch Red GC-LC, hand-made in the Czech Republic.

The Red LC is made of premium Alpine spruce top and gorgeous Cocobolo for the back and sides. With a resonance-enhancing high-gloss finish, koa binding and premium rosette, abalone purfling and headstock inlay, and pearl leaf fingerboard inlay, the exquisite beauty of this instrument cannot be overstated.  Furch utilized  several proprietary technologies for this instrument; a voicing process that allows them to individually tune the soundboard and the back plate, and Full-Pore High-Gloss Finish, which was developed to enhance the guitar’s tonal qualities. The finish consists of an ultrathin layer of highly resistant lacquer that provides excellent surface protection and accentuates the structure of the wood at the same time.

The Red LC guitar has a clear, rich, and very balanced dynamic tone. Each string resonates evenly, and provides excellent response across the frequency spectrum.  It's easy to play, with low action but no buzzing whatsover.  It has that big piano twang that one expects out of acoustic of this caliber.  With its Gotoh 510 tuners, with a 1:21 gear ratio, its easy to tune up and stay in tune.  Furch is making some of the best acoustics in Europe, with some of the finest appointments (be sure to zoom in on the photos of the inlays and rosette).

The guitar is in excellent condition, is set up and ready to play, and comes with its original hardshell Hiscox case. It seems that the previous owner barely played it, and took great care of his instrument.  This is a great piece to add to your collection.  We've had one before, which sold quickly, and now this is our second Furch....we're quickly becoming big fans!

FROM FURCH:

The Red Series is synonymous with the highest class of our solid wood guitars, which are truly uncompromising in terms of the materials and components. The Red LC is made of premium Alpine spruce used on the soundboard and cocobolo on the back and sides. Both plates undergo our innovative voicing process, which in conjunction with the material used gives the instrument a beautiful, versatile sound with clear and open tones.

The guitar comes enclosed in a highly durable, thermally insulated Hiscox case.

Unique voicing process

The premium nature of the Red LC guitar is underscored by the fact that both the soundboard and the back plate are individually tuned using the voicing process, our proprietary technology that enhances the guitar’s tonal properties to the highest level. Thanks to that, t

Resonance enhancing finish

The instrument is protected by our proprietary Full-Pore High-Gloss Finish, which has been developed to enhance the guitar’s tonal qualities. The finish consists of an ultrathin layer of highly resistant lacquer that provides excellent surface protection and accentuates the structure of the wood at the same time.

Furch CNR System® Neck Design

A high precision, dual-action truss rod maintains neck stability and allows for fine adjustment of the neck relief, bilaterally. The truss rod is housed in a highly rigid carbon casing which enables a very smooth and controlled neck relief, ensuring the best playability and enduring optimal setup.

  1. A fully adjustable dual-action truss rod for highly precise adjustment of the neck bow in both the convex and concave directions.
  2. A highly rigid carbon casing that maintains the neck in the set position over a period much longer than is the case with standard neck joint designs and, at the same time, facilitates a gradual bow in the neck, a factor of essential importance for playability.
  3. A casting made of special alloy located inside the neck heel that ensures a stable position of the neck and its angle vis-à-vis the body.

Beauty of exotic wood

The luxury appearance of the Red LC is underscored by a figured ziricote bridge, fingerboard, and headstock overlay. The body, fingerboard, and headstock feature koa binding with a white contrasting line. Koa was also used on a tail decoration and a premium rosette with abalone inlay.

Transparent protection

The soundboard is protected by a transparent pickguard that allows the natural beauty of the wood to shine through. The pickguard is designed to have no effect on the tonal qualities of the soundboard.

Exotic leaf inlays

The fingerboard of the Red LC is decorated with gorgeous mother-of-pearl leaf front inlays. A similar pattern is rendered in green abalone on the headstock.
