Pre-Owned PRS Core 509 Dark Violet Smokewrap Burst With OHSC

Every now & then, a special guitar that was originally here at Truetone makes its way back.  That's the case here with this custom-color PRS Core 509.  We had as a new guitar, sold it to a long-time customer/collector friends of ours, and just took it back in as part of an estate collection.  It appears to have barely been touched, so it's in primo condition - essentially it's a new guitar as a used price, making it a great deal.

This PRS 509 is an amazing example of the craftsmanship coming out of the great state of Maryland.  It's a Core model, repsenting the finest US production.  And it's stunning.

As one of the most versatile guitars in the PRS lineup, the 509 harnesses the power of 5 pickups to deliver 9 uniquely musical tones. The 509 starts with a 5 single coil platform - with the outside four coils grouped as humbuckers. An innovative switching system (a 5-way blade switch and two mini toggle coil-tap switches), gives players an array of humbucking, singlecoil, and blended tones.

The finish is Dark Violet Smokewrap Burst, which is not a regular color that they offer.  PRS made this custom version as a one-off.  It looks beatiful over the flame maple top (which is on top of the mahogany body).  We were blown away the first time we got it,a nd recently were again when it came back.  You get a smooth playing rosewood fretboard (also on top of a mahogany neck).  The profile is the "Pattern Regular", which easy to play - it has a bit of a vintage grip but isn't too thick (or thin).  This is the tpe of guitar you won't want to put down.

Unique appointments include a longer 25.25" scale length which adds upper harmonic sparkle and the PRS Patented Tremolo, Gen III which provides impressive sustain.

Setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop, this PRS 509 is ready to go.  It's in excellent condition - the previous owner took great care of it.  The original hardshell case is included.  If you're looking for super high quality with maximum versatility, this is the guitar to go for.
