Pre-Owned Silvertone 1446V Electric Guitar Black with Gibson Case

We just took in a great semi-hollow, a reissue of the classic Silvertone 1446V.  This is the modern version of a classic guitar, well known for being sported by Elvis Costello, Chris Isaak and many others.  It's super clean, plays great, and as an added bonus comes with a nice hardshell case.

Originally released in 1961, the 1446 was made for 6 years and found it's place in the history of classic electric guitars.  It features a chambered center-block maple body that enhances sustain and reduces feedback and very comfortable 24.75" scale for the mahogany neck that has been redesigned to be a modern soft C profile.  That's topped with a 12" radius rosewood fretboard that has advanced Semi-Hemispherical frets.  The end result is an easy to play, great feeling modern guitar that has the vibe of the 60's.

You can get as expressive as you'd like with a genuine Bigsby B70 vibrato tailpiece paired with a Tune-o-matic style bridge featuring roller saddles for exceptional tuning stability.

The heart of the 1446's tone lies in its Wilkinson “R Series” mini-humbucker pickups, exacting era-specific recreations inspired by the rare original P19 pickups designed by Seth Lover. Crafted with custom tooling, period-correct Alnico V magnets, and matched winding, these pickups deliver the clarity, warmth, and harmonic richness that made the 1446 famous.

The Silvertone 1446 offers a timeless sound and feel, both studio and stage usage.  This one is in excellent condition and has been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop.  It's a great find.
