This amp is a masterful blend of vintage circuitry and contemporary improvements. This amp pairs the legendary 1958 EF86 preamp configuration with the sought-after 1963 Top Boost channel, delivering the tonal character that defined an era of guitar amplification. Not only that, it's encosed a classy mahogany cabinet.  Enhanced with modern tone-shaping controls, the AC15H1TV captures the essence of classic Vox voicings while offering players greater sonic flexibility.

This hand-wired 15-watt AC15H1TV combines meticulously engineered dual channels with a 12-inch Celestion Alnico Blue speaker to deliver the harmonic richness and responsive dynamics that defined Vox's golden era.

The EF86 pentode preamp channel offers dual inputs with 6dB gain differentiation, Bass Shift switching between vintage and tightened low-end voicings, and a three-position Brilliance control spanning flat response through early AC30 treble character to the original bass-cut circuit. An EF86 mode switch selects between pentode's sweet high-gain tone and triode's lower-gain, higher-headroom operation.

The 1963 Top Boost channel features highly interactive treble and bass controls alongside a Top Cut function affecting both channels. The power amp Output switch provides additional flexibility, toggling between full pentode mode and triode mode's 7.5-watt output for smoother, more compressed tone at reduced volume. The complete tube complement—EF86 preamp pentode, three ECC83/12AX7 stages, two EL84 power tubes, and EZ81 rectifier—works cohesively to produce the organic tonal character and touch-sensitive responsiveness that made these amps essential.
