For those that crave the unique with high-quality build standards, and American made PRS is hard to beat - especially when it's the Limited Edition S2 Vela Black Limba.  Only 200 were made and this one we have here in Natural Smokeburst is stunning.  Lightweight, super comfortable to play, and loaded with versatile electronics, this Vela brings a sleek, contemporary design to the table with a collectibility factor inserted.  

Constructed with a solid black limba body, this limited edition model highlights the wood's naturally stunning grain beneath a satin nitro finish.  The asymmetric bevel contributes visual elegance while making the guitar more comfortable,  so it will be easy to keep strapped on for long rehearsals, sessions, and performances.

The matching black limba neck is built with a scarf joint for increased strength and stability, and it is securely attached to the body using a set neck design that optimizes sustain and resonance.  With a Pattern Regular profile, the neck offers a familiar feel that accommodates a wide range of playing styles. A smooth rosewood fingerboard with a 10" radius is embellished with the iconic PRS bird inlays and equipped with 22 standard frets.  Whatever the style, this guitar just works.  The 25-inch scale length achieves an ideal balance of warmth, clarity, and string tension, while the double-acting truss rod guarantees long-term stability and easy adjustment.

The S2 Vela's distinctive pickup configuration produces an exceptionally wide tonal range. A PRS DS-01 bridge pickup delivers a punchy attack, focused midrange, and dynamic output that excels in everything from articulate clean tones to rich overdriven textures. In the neck position, the PRS Narrowfield pickup provides outstanding clarity, definition, and hum-canceling performance while maintaining much of the openness associated with traditional single coils. Controlled by a master volume, push-pull tone control, and three-way toggle switch, you can dial in the exact sound you want.

PRS did this Limited Edition S2 Vela as a one-time run and this is the only one we have - once it's gone, it's gone for good!
