The guitar maintains the cornerstone "594" characteristics, such as the slightly shortened 24.594” scale length that not only eases string tension but also imparts a nice vocal quality to each note. Coupled with the expressive capabilities of the PRS Patented Gen III Tremolo, it results in an instrument that embodies the charm of a vintage masterpiece while delivering the adaptability of a modern session tool. The Pattern Vintage neck profile has a great feel, and the  10" radius ensures easy bending all the way up the neck.

Equipped with the newly engineered McCarty III pickups, this model ensures exceptional tone. They are vintage-inspired humbuckers introduced by PRS in 2025 to deliver a warm, full tone with sharp vocal clarity.  Designed using modern analysis and vintage research to to retail the responsiveness of classic guitars, it's a well balanced sound that works well both clean and dirty, no matter what amp or modeler is being used.  The traditional 4-knob layout (2 Volume, 2 Push-Pull Tones) and a 3-way toggle switch on the upper bout provide independent coil-tapping abilities, yielding a vast spectrum of both humbucking and single-coil tones.

Other features include a bound East Indian Rosewood fretboard, and the distinct "Old School" Bird inlays crafted from Sparkle Mother of Pearl with Pink Heart centers. For hardware, besides the trem, this guitar also has PRS Phase III Non-Locking Tuners with Wing Buttons and PRS Vintage Fret Wire
