Now available is vintage Fender Stratocaster, with all of the vibe from the late 70's that you could ever want, plus upgrades. This is more of a "player" instrument rather than a collector's piece, since it has been modified from its original condition, with a new bridge and saddles, and upgraded pickups. Built during the year of Fender's 25th Anniversary, this Strat has been played for the past 40 years and put to good use.
The guitar has the original finish, pickguard, tuners, pots and switch. Somewhere along the way, a previous owner made extensive changes to really improve upon the guitar and change the way it feels. The biggest thing is the improvement sound - the original pickups (which most people aren't a huge fan of) were replaced with Seymour Duncan Antiquities. They sound amazing in this guitar, giving it a classic Strat tone. Also under the hood, the pickup cavities were shielded to reduce noise, and angela capacitors. Additionally, the original bridge was replaced with a Callaham bridge and saddles, a nice upgrade that helps to improve sustain and tone. Lastly, another big change is the fret job that this guitar underwent. The small vintage style frets were replaced with Jumbo frets.
Condition: Good. Overall, it's closer to excellent, but has had drop fill repairs to dings on the neck - they are noticeable to the eye, but not to the feel in a way that impacts your playing. The previous owner had this done, as he was more concerned about how it felt and played, which is totally fine. We also made a new bone nut for the guitar, to improve upon it's playability.
Comes with: Gig Bag, original bridge saddles and trem arm
If you're in the market for a vintage Strat and aren't a purist, this heavily modified 70's Strat is an absolute score!
