Used 1990's Fender Made in Japan Stratocaster California Blue

Here's a guitar from the era the brought you the Internet. Made in the 1990's in Japan, it's a Strat in a super cool color called California Blue.  And it's amazing.

This one came to us on trade recently, and everyone here fell in love with it right away.  Not just because it looks cool, but because how it plays.  The neck is slim, and plays as smoothly as one could want.  Often times, these maple neck ones are modeld at 50's Strat, so they tend to be thick - but not this one.  Also, the guitar is really light, weighing in at 6.8 lbs.  

As for sound, it's tonally balanced - crystal clear, evenly matched pickups provide the classic sparkle, shine and sizzle that one expects out of a Strat, with the ability to handle overdrive without sounding shrill.  We tried this guitar through a few different amps - whether it was a clean through a Deluxe Reverb or overdriven through a Mesa Boogie Mark V, it sounded amazing.

For fans of Fender, the Japanese-made guitars are known for high build quality, as well as collectibility.  Based on the serial number, we belive this one was built in the legendary FujiGen factory, around 1993 - 1995.  It's stood the test of time and is all original (other than the missing backplate, as seen in the photos).

The guitar has been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop and is in great condition.  For anyone looking for a great Strat in a cool, unique color, this could be the one!
