Used 1991 Fender Custom Shop 1969 Reissue Stratocaster Olympic White Electric Guitar With HSC

Here we have an absolute gorgeous Custom Shop Strat.  This is a rare find; it was a part of a small run in 1991.  You would be hard pressed to find any of these in such great condition.  This one in particular has a very smooth and fast playing neck.

The Olympic White, nitro lacquer finish really shines, and is accented beautifully by the tortoise shell pickguard.  The finish is still in great shape, especially considering that this guitar is 30 years old (yes, 1991 was 30 years ago!).  There are some very small dings, two small finish cracks in the neck pocket (just the finish) and some scratches on the back, as to be expected on a guitar of this age.  What's stunning is the neck, especially the fretboard.  The super dark rosewood approaches the hue of ebony.  Whomever picked it out 3 decades ago made the right choice!

The guitar is all original except for the bridge pickup - someone put in a Custom Shop Texas Special in there for a hotter output.  It's a common choice for bridge pickups.  If you play a lot of rock or blues, and need a hot pickup for lead playing, this is perfect.  If you prefer a more mellow sound, the original pickup is in the case and could be put in (we'll even it do it for you, if you'd like).  The neck and middle pickups are the original Custom Shop 69 Strat set.  Because of the clarity and transparency created by the unique coil wind and magnet structure, the '69 pickup design works especially well with pedals allowing the low end to thump and the high end to soar.
