Used 2000 Epiphone Elite Casino Made In Japan Sunburst With Case
Introducing a hard to find, classic version of the Epiphone Elite Casino - made In Japan in 2000, this exquisite instrument has a smooth, sweet, and soulful sound that will be sure to captivate. We just took this one it, and immediately fell in love with it. We've had a lot of previously owned Casino's here, and this could be the best one.
It's very important is that this is from the first year they did these in Japan, which is why it’s label as “Elite” on the back of the headstock. A few years later they changed it to “Elitist”.
This one in particular has been ppgraded with a vintage 60’s Tremo-O-Tone vibrato tailpiece (like you’d see on Crestwood and Sheraton models). Also, the pickups are upgraded - the previous owner put in a Seymour Duncan Staple P-90 (Bridge) and ThroBak P-90 (Neck), which sound amazing. Lastly, the tuners were swapped for Grover Chrome Kidney Tuners (previous holes showing). We replaced the bridge to one that is more stable (same type as the original), with graphite saddles, and made a new nut as well. All of these mods were very well done, and improve the guitar. This also helps to make it a unique piece - there isn't a Casino exactly like this one out there.
The grain on this guitar has to be seen to be appreciated - the photos look great, but it's even better in person. The finish is clean, and while it is a used guitar, it was used carefully and well taken care of.
The guitar is in great shape, and has been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop. A hardshell case is included. A stunning addition to any collection, this is an affordable way to get a great playing Casino into your life!
